Zeljko Babic to overtake Olympiacos

Greek Olympiacos should promote new head-coach in the middle of the week and that would be well-known Croatian Zeljko Babic.

EHF EURO 2016 bronze medalist with Croatia should replace Nikos Grammatikos before the crucial match in this part of the season against AEK Athen next weekend.

Babic has serious CV with leading Meshkov Brest, RK Gorenje Velenje and RK Eurofarm Pelister, with adventure in women’s handball with RK Podravka Koprivnica as his latest job.

His best achievements are linked with Croatian national team which he led between 2015 and 2017. Babic won bronze at EHF EURO 2016, but also fourth place at World Championship 2017 in France, afterwards he was promptly sacked by Federation in less than 24 hours.

Olympiacos is currently the leader of the Greek championship with two points ahead of the only rival AEK.
