Zoran Roganović returns as Montenegro head coach

The Handball Federation of Montenegro has appointed Zoran Roganović as the new head coach of the men’s national team, while former captain Vasko Ševaljević will be responsible for the development and coordination of the younger national teams.
Roganović returns to the “Lions” after ending his first spell in January 2023. He previously led Montenegro at EHF EURO 2020 and 2022, as well as the 2023 World Championship. The 11th-place finish at EHF EURO 2022 remains the best result in the history of the men’s national team.
His first official match back in charge will be on November 5 against Hungary in the EHF EURO 2028 qualifiers. Faroe Islands and Kosovo are also in Montenegro’s group.
Ševaljević will focus on connecting the youth national teams with the senior squad and creating a clearer pathway for talented players.
