8 Days to STRUGA 2013: HCM Constanta begins with two wins

Romanian champion HCM Constanta began preparation for the upcoming season in Slovenian SPA – Terme Catez, where team of ex-Macedonian head-coach, Zvonko Sundovski already played two matches with domestic teams – Sevnica 26:23 and Celje Pivovarna Lasko 25:24. The biggest test of form before real challenge – VELUX EHF CL Qualification tournament in Porto (Portugal), where will Constanta meet domestic team in the semi-final on August 31, Romanian champion will have in Macedonian city of Struga from 14 to 17 of August at 41st International Handball Tournament.

In Struga will play also strong teams as domestic RK Vardar and RK Metalurg, French Ivry and Versaille, Belarusian Meshkov Brest.

According to new rule of Romanian Handball Federation – three foreign players per team, HCM Constanta began to “clean” the squad and the first targets are three Serbian players. Former THW Kiel line-player, Milutin Dragicevic, ex-Ademar Leon playmaker, Dalibor Cutura and left wing, Predrag Vujadinovic.

– Cutura and Dragicevic have large contracts, but their performances at the EHF Champions League weren’t to convincing. They got option to stay with lower salaries or to leave the team as free players. We want to sign another right back and that means that Vujadinovic has to go on loan – said Constanta director, Ali Nurhan.

Currently, HCM Constanta has two foreign players in the roster – Branko Angelovski and Aleksandar Adzic.

Spanish back Havier Humet signed contract with Ivry.
