One of the best handball goalkeepers in the first 12 years of Century, Arpad Sterbik (32) will play for F.C Barcelona Intersport in the next four years. Spanish NT player has signed contract with the best handball club in the history until 2016. Since he stayed at home when Atletico Madrid went to IHF Super Globe in Qatar, rumours about transfer to Barcelona began. Just 10 days after, Sterbik became a member of famous Barca’s family, where he will stay with “former” compatriot, Danijel Saric.
These two guys were members of Serbia and Montenegro national team until 2006 – EHF EURO 2006 in Switzerland, after they decided to change NT t-shirts.
Sterbik started his proffesional career in Serbian Jugovic Kac, with whom he won Challenge Cup in 2001. From 2001 until 2004, he played for MKB Veszprem, when he moved to Spain – Ciudad Real. He was voted for the best Handball player in the World by IHF.
