Asian Championship 2016: Eleven teams to fight for four spots at WCh 2017

The 17th Men’s Asian Championship will be played in Bahrain in period January 15-28, 2016. Draw was made on Saturday which separated two finalists from the last tournament which was played on the same place two years ago – Qatar and Bahrain in two groups. Twelwe teams will compete for the four places which giving VISA for the next Men’s World Championship 2017 in France.

Qatar are already qualified as runners-up from the last World Championship 2015 in Doha, so the position fifth could be also enough to reach that goal.

Kuwait is suspended as handball country by decision of International Handball Federation later this year.

GROUP A: Qatar, Korea, Oman, Japan, Syria, Macau
GROUP B: Iran, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, China, Bahrain
