New problem for Gudmundsson – Eggert won’t play for Denmark until end of the season!

The things becoming even harder for the Danish national team coach Gudmundur Gudmundsson. Experienced Icelander who replaced legendary Ulrik Wilbek on the Danish bench suffering new problems after “only” fifth place at the World Championship 2015 in Qatar. Right back Kasper Sondergaard (indefinitely) together with the first left wing Anders Eggert won’t be able to join the national team in the upcoming period.

SG Flensburg’s left wing had decided to take a rest until end of the season due fatigue and family reasons (he will become a father)

– I have always been very happy to play for the national team, but I can not find profits in the coming period, where I shall be a father again. I need a break and believes that it is now the time is right, says Anders Eggert to dhf.dk.

Denmark began EHF EURO 2016 campaign with two wins over Lithuania and Bosnia and Herzegovina which put them on the TOP of the Qualifications group.
