Denmark didn’t let any surprise at the start of Olympic tournament. Argentina were strong rival in the first half, but at the end, it wasn’t tie like in Doha at the start of the last World Championship – 25:19 (10:10). With better focus in defensive tasks, Danes showed more quality after only average first half in which Argentinians were in lead 5:2.
Denmark made 5:0 series at the start of the second half (15:10), while Argentinians couldn’t score until 40th minute. In 49th minute it was 22:14, when the final score could be easily predicted.
Mikkel Hansen and Lasse Svan Hansen netted six goals each for the winners, while Pablo Simonet scored seven for always motivated Gauchos.
