WORLD HANDBALL PLAYER 2014 – Vote until December 4!

Handball-Planet.com has publish official nominations for the WORLD BEST PLAYER 2014 based on opinion of the 23 handball journalists from all over the world! Handball-Planet.com Jury of Experts made the lists of four best players in 2014 per position in the team, while the last member of the Jury, handball fans across the Globe can vote in the next few weeks (until December 4) and support their favorite players.  Visitors’ votes will be added to the existing number of votes given by the journalists, after which Handball-Planet.com will announce who is the WORLD HANDBALL PLAYER 2014 and the best players per position  – “BEST 8”.

JURY MEMBERS FROM EUROPE, ASIA, MIDDLE EAST AND SOUTH AMERICA

This year Handball-Planet.com made the biggest Jury until now in order to get opinion from the countries with various handball tradition. Our Jury members are the recognized handball specialists in their countries, which coming from the biggest media (Marca, TV 2 NO, Al Jazeera, Aftonbladet), but also from specialized websites and newspapers as Handnews.fr, Hbold.dk, Balkan-Handball.com and so on…

NAGY, JICHA, DUVNJAK, ….

This is the fourth year of Handball-Planet.com Contest for the WORLD HANDBALL PLAYER. Hungarian TOP star Laszlo Nagy won award in 2011 when over 6500 fans voted on our Poll question. WORLD HANDBALL PLAYER 2012 was Czech star Filip Jicha (over 13.000 voters), while in 2013 the first name in the handball world was Domagoj Duvnjak with unified opinion of Jury members and huge support of the fans (about 146.000 votes for all nominees in total).

BARCA DOMINATION – SPANISH-DANISH POWER

The most players nominated for the WORLD HANDBALL PLAYER 2014 are coming from FC Barcelona – 7. Four teams giving four names (SG Flensburg, Rhein Neckar Lowen, THW Kiel and MKB MVM Veszprem), while PSG Handball have three. Two nominees coming from Macedonian RK Vardar, while Polish Vive Targi Kielce, French Montpellier and Macedonian second team, RK Metalurg, can also be proud on their best players.

In total, 32 nominees coming from 10 teams.

Situation with the national teams is little bit different (12 in total). Spain giving the biggest number of players (6) followed by Denmark (5). France are on the third place with 4, while Iceland, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia and Sweden have two players.

Germany, Czech Republic, Norway, Russia and Belarus have also nominations for the WORLD HANDBALL PLAYER 2014.
