2029! PSG Handball sign Simen Lyse

PSG Handball has officially announced the signing of Simen Lyse. The 25-year-old Norwegian back will join the club from the summer of 2026, on a three-year contract.

Currently under contract with Kolstad, Lyse has established himself as one of the most powerful backs in European handball. With a profile similar to Elohim Prandi, he has become a key player in the Norwegian league and national team. With Norway, he notably took part in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the 2025 World Championship.

This signing is part of the new project led by Danish coach Stephan Madsen, who recently took charge of the Parisian bench. The arrival of Lyse adds a Nordic touch to the team. He will play in the same position as Wallem Pelecka, replacing Abdelrahman Abdou, who is leaving at the end of the season.

For Thierry Omeyer, PSG Handball’s general manager, this is excellent news:

“Simen is an ambitious and complete player. He will bring power and experience to our team. His profile perfectly matches the vision we have for the coming seasons.”

From his side, Simen Lyse expressed his excitement:

“PSG Handball is a reference in Europe. I can’t wait to start this new adventure and give my all to contribute to the team’s ambitions.”
