Lukas Sandell to Pick Szeged – Imanol Garciandia to HBC Nantes

After only one season in Rhein Neckar Lowen, Swedish right back Lukas Sandell will comeback to Hungary with 3-years contract at Pick Szeged. He will replace Imanol Garciandia who signed deal with HBC Nantes.

– We will not be left without an announcement during the national team week either: our club has reached an agreement with Lukas Sandell, who will join us next summer; we have signed a contract with him until June 30, 2029. We do not need to introduce the right-winger, as he has already played against us with three teams, so everyone could see what skills he has. We are confident that he will be one of the strengths of our team from next season – announced new signing by Pick Szeged president, dr. Ernő Péter Szűcs.

– I am very happy to return to Hungary, to a club that has gained serious respect in Europe. I know the team, my fellow players, and I have experienced as an opponent what it feels like to play in the PICK Arena. My national team teammates, Jim Gottfridsson and Tobias Thulin, also told me about life in Szeged, and our national team captain, Michael Apelgren, also spoke a lot about the fantastic handball atmosphere in the city. I am already looking forward to the first meeting and to putting on the blue jersey – said Lukas Sandell.
