Atletico Madrid and AG Kobenhavn are the teams that made their way to the Final Four in Koln tonight.
Barcelona failed to please the home crowd and win the game with 6 goals or more, only winning by 3 goals, 36:33. The high scoring meant that they actually would need 7 goals win due to the 29:23 first game AGK win. 17:17 in the first half, and constant goal-by-goal holding up of AGK score-wise were enough to fend off the 6 goals lead from the first game, and this will be their first ever Final Four participation. Hansen and Co. surely won’t stop here!
Atletico Madrid had -3 from the first game. Game didn’t go too well until the mid second half, as Cimos Koper even had 19:17 in the beginning of the second, but Lazarov, Markussen and company finally started to produce the real Atletico Madrid display and showed us why they played the final last year in Koln. This year, they’re going again to Koln with a fine 31:24 win at home, and should they reach the final, we will find out in 30 days.
Fuchse Berlin hosts Ademar Leon tomorrow and it seems mission impossible for them as they lost the first game by 11 goals, however the coach says they haven’t lost hope. In the other game, THW Kiel hosts Zagreb, and they need any kind of a win to see them at the Final Four after missing it last year.
