In a postponed match of the BHL on Sunday, Dragunas Klaipeda took a very important win by beating HC Kehra/Horizon Pulp&Paper at home 28-22 (15-10) and secured even more their fourth place in the table.
Dragunas started very strongly and took a 5-1 lead. Kehra tried to fight back, but could not get closer than three goals with the first half going for the hosts by 15-10. Second half was much similar and quite low-scoring, but Dragunas gradually slipped away from the visitors. Miglius Astrauskas’ men eventually took a 28-22 win. Evaldas Grieže scored 6 goals for the winners, while Jürgen Rooba was Kehra’s best with 5 goals.
Dragunas secured their fourth place and are now in the pole position for the place in the Final Four. The Lithuanian club have 11 points from 10 games, while their closest rival HC Meshkov Brest is three points away. Next games – a total of 9 – in BHL will be played during three days between 28 February and 2 March.
