Bergerud stops Russia – Norway close to knock-out stage

Team of Norway stay strong on the way to the knock-out stage at IHF World Championship 2017 in France. Norwegians beat Russia 28:24 (15:11) two days after starting win over Poland 22:20. Team coached by Christian Berg showed dominance in battle with experienced Russian squad, who were in minus from the first minutes of the match, thanks to goalie Torbjorn Bergerud who made a lot of problems to the rivals by saving 14 balls.

Kristian Bjornsen scored seven goals, while Sanders Sagosen netted six goals for the winners. On opposite side, Igor Soroka ended with eight goals.
