Borko Ristovski becomes Minister of Sports
The legendary Macedonian goalkeeper Borko Ristovski becomes the first minister of sports in the country’s history. The newly formed ministry will be led by the former goalkeeper of Vardar, Metalurg, Rhein Neckar Lowen, Barcelona, Gummersbach, who previously held the position of executive director of RK Vardar Skopje. He said goodbye to Vardar’s audience with a message:
- Since I accepted to work on it, and I was proposed for the future Minister of Sports in the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, I believe that my future position and the current one do not match. RK Vardar will remain in my heart as a club that has given me a lot. I remain a fan of my Vardar, but I have decided to devote myself to the good of the whole sport, every club, every athlete. That is why I am stepping down from the position of Executive Director of RK Vardar, which I worked on with love, desire and dedication. I am convinced that many quality people will continue what we started and continue even stronger. And I will continue to be on the side of sports, all clubs, all athletes and I will fight for them to get the best working conditions and to be proud representatives of their Macedonia. I remain open to every dialogue, every conversation, to everything that is interesting in Macedonian sport – emphasized Ristovski.
