Croatia will look for the new national team coach if Board of the Federation accept offered resignation of Zeljko Babic. Young coach decided to give up after only 17 months on the bench of the team, which led on two big events – and win the bronze medal at Men’s EHF EURO 2016 in Poland.
Croatia missed to qualify for the Rio’s Olympic semi-final against Poland at quarterfinal, ended fifth at the end, which caused a lot of negative energy around the team and pressure on the coaching staff.
About two weeks after the end of Olympic Games, Babic wrote a letter to the Board of his Federation, where he wrote that he feels “betrayed”.
