The Men’s Junior World Championship will take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the cities of Sarajevo, Ljubuški, Zenica and Banja Luka from 14 to 28 July 2013. On Thursday evening (18 April) the draw for the four groups of the preliminary round was conducted by IHF COC Member Philippe Bana (France) in Sarajevo.
The host will face Congo, Slovenia, Argentina, Korea and Hungary in group C in the capital Sarajevo. Defending champions Germany play in Ljubuški against Croatia, Switzerland, Qatar, Netherlands and Algeria.
These groups for the preliminary round:
A in Banja Luka: Tunisia, France, Russia, Denmark, Angola, Serbia
B in Ljubuški: Germany, Croatia, Switzerland, Qatar, Netherlands, Algeria
C in Sarajevo: Bosnia, Congo, Slovenia, Argentina, Korea, Hungary
D in Zenica: Spain, Sweden, Brazil, Egypt, Chile Kuwait
The four best ranked teams of each group will qualify for the eight-finals, the in total eight remaining teams play for the positions 17-24 in the President’s Cup.
