EHF CL: HSV Hamburg with comeback rescues a point in Moscow

Hosts Chekhovski Medvedi opened the home game against HSV Hamburg very well taking the lead early in the match. At half time they had 17:14, while at one point in the second half the lead extended to +6 goals. However, Martin Schwalb’s team found the recipe in the final 15 minutes of the game and with a run of 6:0 made a come back and then even took the lead for a moment. In the end it was 29:29, with Chekhovski failing to capitalize in their final attack.

Dibirov scored 7 goals for the Russians, while Pascal Hens was HSV Hamburg’s leading scorer with 6 goals.
