The French Handball Federation has working on reducing capacity of AccorHotels Arena based on suggestion of French goverment due corona virus threat, writes L Equipe.
All the concerts in AccorHotels Arena are postponed for June, while sporting events remain in the same schedule but with a capacity reduced to 5,000 people (against 15,600 in handball configuration). A total including spectators, athletes, volunteers and service providers. This is the application of the decree published on Thursday , prohibiting gatherings of more than 5,000 people in an enclosed environment until May 31.
This affects first and foremost the Olympic Qualification Tournament (TQO) which France have to organize from April 17 to 19 against Croatia, Portugal and Tunisia. The French Handball Federation, which had already sold 7,000 to 8,000 tickets a day, has therefore suspended ticketing and may have to make refunds.
