Galia, Zdrahala and Horak to retire from Czech national team?

Czech Republic ended at 12th place at Men’s EHF EURO 2024.

The team with dual coaching by Jan Filip and Daniel Kubes lost all the matches at Main Round, but wins over North Macedonia and Ukraine, put them in position to play for the second week in Vienna.

However, it will be difficult to stay on this level in the future as three important players could retire from the national team.

They are goalkeeper Martin Galia, playmaker Ondrej Zdrahala and left back and defensive specialist Pavel Horak.

“It will be difficult without them. Results depend on their performance. This loss we couldn’t solve in short period of time”, said Daniel Kubes.
