GOLDEN “Last Dance” of Hergeirsson! Norway win 10th EURO title!
Norway are the new-old EHF EURO winners. The “last dance” of national team coach Thorir Hergeirsson was just another expression of domination of this Scandinavian team. The Olympic champions showed the best level of handball although on the start of the new Olympic cycle they didn’t have legendary profiles like Stine Bredal Oftedal and Nora Mork.
Deila, Skogrand and Co. showed that Norwegian handball has a lot of classy profiles.
In the replay of Ljubljana 2022 final, Denmark had no chance in the second half. Norway outplayed the big rival easily 31:23 (14:13) after tight battle in the first 30 minutes. Henny Reistad led her team with eight goals, but also assists to Hovden, Brattset Dale, etc…
Best goalkeeper of the tournament Anna Kristensen had impressive start with seven saves in the opening 12 minutes, but then went out of the form for the rest of the match.
