Győr Audi ETO KC sack Ulrik Kirkely
The management of Győr Audi ETO KC terminated the employment of head coach Ulrik Kirkely and second coach Kristian Danielsen with immediate effect after last weekend defeat in Hungarian Cup Final against FTC. Instead of the two Danish experts, a temporary manager was appointed to lead the team.
Ulrik Kirkely is no longer the head coach of Győr Audi ETO KC. Due to the team’s recent negative results, the club terminated the contract with the Danish coach and assistant Kristian Danielsen with immediate effect.
Negotiations have begun on the identity of the new head coach. Until the final decision is made, Attila Kun, who holds an EHF master coaching degree and is the professional director of the Audi ETO Academy in Győr, will take over the leadership of the team as temporary head coach. Under his guidance, the squad is preparing for the championship match between Győr Audi ETO KC and Moyra Budaörs on March 16, 2024.
