Luka Cindric became a hero of RK Vardar Skopje in their fantastic night on Saturday in Cologne, where they beat FC Barcelona Lassa 26:25 (13:12) for the first ever EHF Champions League final. The 25-years old Croatian playmaker came to Skopje (RK Metalurg) three years ago and from unknown talent of average team RK Karlovac exploded on the big stage in world-class star.
His goal two seconds before the end sent Macedonians to the final where they will meet Paris Saint Germain on Sunday, 18.00 hrs:
- We came here to win the EHF Champions League! Idea for the last attack was just like we made it with double crossing. It was tough to do it, but I got a chance to score. It is a dream of every boy who starts to play handball – said Cindric at mix-zone of the Lanxess Arena.
