As marca.com reports, Jose Jaiver Hombrados (40), the currently injured goalkeeper of Atletico Madrid, will be running for President of the Spanish Handball Federation in the elections that are to be held sometime after spring. He will be promoted as candidate during the next month. The current president Juan de Dios Roman will not be seeking re-election. The injury that he has suffered will keep him away from the field for some more time, and he believes it might be time to try himself as President of the SHF.
Hombrados won bronze twice in Atlanta 1996 and Beijing 2008.
