Igor Karacic (31) talks with Zika Bogdanovic in Balkan-Handball.com podcast #stayathome about his impressions about PGE Vive Kielce, the first proffesional station after RK Vardar Skopje, where Croatian playmaker played from 2012 to 2019 and winning two EHF Champions League titles in 2017 and 2019:
- I am very satisfied. Firstly, I am satisfied with the situation in the club because I heard a lot of different stories before my arrival. PGE Kielce are serious club and everything is at TOP level. We have a lot of space for improvement on the court. This season we won’t be under serious pressure to go until the end, as I understand Talant, who wants to built the squad for the next year which he desired. I am satisfied with result at EHF CL. We could finish on position No.1 or 2, but that is sport – said Karacic and added comment about Spanish coaches who are following his career since 2013 in Skopje.
- Of course, you have good and bad periods with any of them. Raul Gonzales brought the new system in Skopje, he gave a lot to all of us, open some new horizons and view on the game, he helped all the players in their careers. Parondo made a great job in his first career as a first coach. He showed great human qualities in some difficult moments. He will have always open door in Vardar.
Karacic praises work with Talant Dujshebaev:
- Talant is the closest coach to me in terms of character. He is a winner, warrior, it is visible on him what he had to pass through life to come where he is now. He is the only coach who can wake up anyone to play against any team (Prolet in Macedonia). You always have to give 100%, to get ready, to analyse opponents. Coming to Kielce was a great decision for me – said Karacic.
