IHF change decision after Tokyo 2020 postponing

The International Handball Federation had a busy Tuesday. Firstly, the leading body of world’s handball informed all the Federation about new dates of the Olympic qualifications tournaments, which should be set for June 12-14 and June 19-21.

Only few hours later, IHF changed their minds after IOC informed world that Olympic Games will be postponed for 2021.

“As the IOC has now announced to postpone the Olympic Games, the situation has changed yet again and will have to be assessed before continuing further planning. Therefore, the dates announced in today’s letter will have to be postponed. Please note that we will contact you with
more information as soon as we know the exact dates for the Olympic Games. We would like to assure you that the dates for the Olympic Qualification Tournaments will be coordinated with all parties involved and that we will work together on finding the best possible solution.
