Jesper Jensen is new women’s Danish NT coach

Jesper Jensen is the new Danish women’s national team head-coach. Ex-playmaker of Skjern Handbold and Danish national team, now coach of Team Esbjerg showed promising results at the start of coaching career.

  • “I am very proud to be entrusted with the greatest job in Danish women’s handball, but at the same time I am very humble in relation to the task Lars and I are facing. The foundation is strong, based on a really good training culture that we must build on top of. I am sure that hard work over time will also produce good results, and our goal is still to challenge the best teams in the world for the medals, ”says Jesper Jensen. Lars Jørgensen, who is transitioning to a full-time position in the Danish Handball Association, also looks forward to the new constellation, where he will play a significant role: “I am very much looking forward to being able to work deeper and more purposefully with the tasks that I previously worked part-time. Among other things, I will work for an even closer collaboration with the clubs, as well as being at the forefront of clarifying the red thread in the national team and talent system on the women’s side, ”says Lars Jørgensen.
