Kadetten’s 19-Game Winning Streak Ends in Thun: Gadža Hits 12 in 34–31 Upset

Kadetten Schaffhausen suffered their first defeat in the Swiss championship after a 19-game winning streak!
The unbeaten league leaders saw their run snapped away to Wacker Thun, the team currently sitting fourth this season, losing 34:31 (18:16).
Veteran Croatian international Ante Gadža starred for the winners with 12 goals, while Silvan Furst delivered 12 saves. For the defending champions, Luka Maros scored nine times, and Leo Bergman had a strong outing in goal with 14 saves.
The experienced 33-year-old Gadža, an occasional member of the Croatian national team, is enjoying an excellent season. This was his seventh double-digit scoring performance, and with 156 goals he is the league’s clear top scorer, ahead of Icelandic shooter Óðinn Ríkharðsson (138).
