Russian TOP team Rostov Don have already won two domestic titles in Cup and Super Cup this season. The team now led by Swedish coach Per Johansson after parting way with Ambros Martin, played four matches in domestic competition and preparing for the first match at the start of the Women’s EHF Champions League 2020/2021 but without Serbian right wing Katarina Krpez Slezak.
The 32-years old lefthander, the TOP scorer of the Women’s EHF EURO 2018 in France, still is in Serbia, where she is waiting for “VISA” for her family. Krpez Slezak is a mother of six months old Timea and although her VISA is ready, she can’t leave her baby alone.
- I got a confirmation from the club that everything will be solved until the end of September. I practice according club’s program running and gym. I did individually handball practice in my primary school, but since local men’s team MRK Somborelektro began with handball trainings, I am working with them. I got my VISA, by my husband and daughter not, and in country you can only come with work permit. I practice and getting ready for the season. Of course, I am following Rostov’s matches, also watching Hungarian league. When I can’t play, I can watch, it’s easier to spent this period – said Krpez Slezak for Balkan-Handball.com.
