Vive Targi Kielce fulfilled their favourite role and qualified to the semi final of the Polish Championship. Defending champions beat MMTS Kwidzyn twice and now wait for their next rival.
The course of the first match was no surprise and the match was decided practically in the first half. Kwidzyn was not able to stand up to Kielce and after the first half they had 11 goal gap to reduce (20:9). The second part was not better for Kwidzyn and in the end they were crushed 41:19.
The second match was not expected to be much exciting but it turned out to be one of the most thrilling games of the season. It was Kwidzyn that were on the lead most of the time. The situation of Kielce was poor until 58 minute when they managed to equalize and slightly carried away the prospect of the third match. The second half ended up with a draw (35:35) so the extra time was needed. Apparently, the regular 60 minutes was not enough for Kielce players to warm up as they took the lead not until the extra time. They put themselves together, won the first part 38:36 and managed to keep the advantage to the final whistle (41:39).
The semi final opponent for Kielce will be the winner of the third match between Azoty Puławy and Gaz System Pogoń Szczecin.
