Kuleshov new Russia coach!

After the end of the “Maximov era”, Russians chose their new coach. The choice fell on the young coach Oleg Kuleshov (38), who as a player was part of great successes for the Russian national team (European Champion 1996, World Champion 1997). He played 8 years for the German Magdeburg with which he won the Champions League in 2002.

After the end of his playing career, he stayed in Germany where he gathered more coaching experience. Kuleshov probably was not the man with the “thickest” biography, but the commission led by Andrej Lavrov, the legendary Russian goalkeeper, decided that Kuleshov should be given a chance.
