Portugal needed to surprise Spain at home in Guimaraes if they wanted to qualify already for the European Championship 2014 in Denmark, but Spain with Manolo Cadenas‘ as their new coach showed that they are serious team and want to finish the group in style with 6 wins from 6 games. Spain in the end won with 30:23 (14:12).
