Magdeburg secure their fortress for the years ahead

Oscar Bergendahl has signed a new contract with the club. The 31-year-old Swedish defensive specialist will remain at GETEC Arena, where he forms a formidable defensive wall alongside Magnus Saugstrup — a duo that has helped the club win two EHF Champions League trophies.
Before the Swede, left wings Lukas Mertens and Matthias Musche had also extended their contracts with the club.
The futures of Sebastian Barthold and captain Christian O’Sullivan are still to be decided.
