Nikolaj Jacobsen was staying a little bit confused with the level of performance of his team in the first semi-final of the World Handball Championship 2019. The reigning champions were smashed by “flying” Danes who will have the fourth chance to win the world’s gold, the only one which missing in the colection:
- I am touched, too emotional, this is amazing. Few tough weeks are behind us, we had a lot of challenges. I didn’t know morning before the match whether Magnus Landin and Henrik Mollgaard will play, but the way they played, make me proud.
Mikkel Hansen netted 12 goals with bunch of assists and vision which put French team under fire…
- It was unbelievable experience. France are really good team, and to score 38 goals against them, it is impressive – said Mikkel for domestic TV2.
The French coach Didier Dinart didn’t give any precise response about “black-out” of his team:
- I would like to congratulate Denmark, they played very good. It is’t easy to lose, as France always going for a good result on every competition. That’s what people expects from us, but we have to admit that Denmark were better in all aspects on the field today. We have to stay strong mentally and psychically to try to win the bronze against Germany on Sunday – said Dinart.
