NO EHF EURO 2026 FOR HIM: Thomas Arnoldsen Out for 12 Weeks With Tibia Fracture

Aalborg Håndbold has confirmed that Thomas Arnoldsen will be sidelined for up to 12 weeks after suffering a fractured tibia during Wednesday’s Champions League victory over Industria Kielce.

The injury occurred midway through the second half when Arnoldsen landed awkwardly after a shot. He was unable to continue and had to be carried off the court by teammates.

Scans on Thursday revealed a stable fracture that will not require surgery, the club announced.

Team manager Martin Larsen commented:

“Thomas has undergone scans and examinations, which revealed a fracture in the tibia. Fortunately, it is stable and does not require surgery. It’s not the result we were hoping for, but it could have been worse. We are confident that the depth of our squad can carry us forward.”

Arnoldsen will spend several weeks in a leg splint before beginning rehabilitation.

The 21-year-old left back has so far played 92 matches and scored 513 goals for Aalborg, in addition to 30 international appearances and 73 goals for Denmark.
