First round of Women’s Champions League showed that vice-champion of Europe, Romanian, Oltchim Valcea has a problem with a form. Ambitious team from Romania lost first match in a new season of CL in Denmark against Randers 23:27. That was a sign for alarm of sponsors and President Ioan Gavrilescu, who was concerned about a performance of his team. He gave a sort of ultimatum to Hungarian coach, Peter Kovacs (photo), who will have difficult task to win another five games in group and take first place in front of Randers, Larvik (Norway) and French, Toulon.
First round:
Toulon – Larvik 28:31
Randers – Oltchim 27:23
