Omiš Once Again Becomes the Handball Goalkeeping Capital

The 16th edition of the International Handball Goalkeeper Camp will be held from 22 to 28 June 2026 in Omiš, Croatia.

The globally renowned summer handball project has, from day one, brought together the elite of the goalkeeping world. This year, the organisers will once again follow their successful formula of connecting some of the biggest current names in the game, top-level coaches and young goalkeepers arriving from all over the world.

The idea of the camp remains the same – to give young handball goalkeepers the opportunity to improve their technique, understanding of the game, mental stability and everything else that makes the goalkeeping position so special, all within a professional environment.

Over six working days, the camp participants will work with names such as Viktor Hallgrimsson, Dominik Kuzmanović, Matej Mandić, Marin Šego, Karim Hendawy, Mohamed El-Tayar, Filip Ivić and Urh Kastelic, with coaching support from Mihael Bruno, Dino Špiranec, Haris Porobić, Ice Sokoleski, Jane Cvetkovski, Milan Tolić, Tomas Torabi, Radek Kozačuk, Marina Škrobot and Andre Teixeira.

Goalkeepers and coaches from Barcelona, Magdeburg and the national teams of Denmark, Egypt and Hungary — people working at the highest possible level — are the reason why, for more than a decade and a half, the camp continues to be sold out several months before it begins.

“Year after year, we try to maintain the quality and raise the overall experience for all our guests. Big names and children motivated to become big names one day have proven to be a winning combination, to everyone’s satisfaction. Omiš has long since become an essential destination for everyone who wants to improve between the posts. That will remain the case in the years to come,” said Mario Čaljkušić, the organiser and founder of the project.
