POOR PRESS WORK CONDITIONS IN BUDAPEST: WHY YOU NEED JOURNALISTS?

The first ever Women’s EHF Champions League F4 in Budapest wasn’t journalist’s friendly. First contact with the people from local organisation was outside of the hall, when the group of international journalists wanted to come into the hall. Unfortunately, they have been stopped by security and had to wait for over 10 minutes in front of the media entrance without any significant reason.

The second „surprise“ was on the media tribune during the whole event, when majority of the journalists have no internet connection. Wi-fi during the big handball events? Why do we need that? Why we are here? Wi-Fi connection is a question of breath for PRESS people. Unbelievable. Internet connection is the only thing which a single journalist needs.

Unpolite behaviour of local staff in PRESS centre, was another part of the story in „Papp Laszlo Arena“. Local staff members and organisers should know that journalists came from different part of Europe need proper condition for their work. Journalists came here for a work and local staff should help them as some kind of service, because, that’s the reason why they are there and not to act as a masters…

Women’s EHF EURO 2014 is coming in a few months. Eyes of whole handball Europe will be on Hungary and Hungarian Handball Federation have to be aware of that. Despite the whole event, which had positive impact of Women’s handball globally, they didn’t pass the test…

well, organization suffered a bit to be fair. not isolating Podgorica fans with Police was a clear mistake. seating even VIP guests next to the ‘Barbarian’ supporters is a significant organizational mistake — would not happen anywhere else in the world. especially as ‘guests’ were climbing thru the fence. Neither would you be serving the same food in 2 consecutive days in any of the handball arenas…

OMG — should you rather focus on who got in on time?

well, indeed the organization was poor from some aspects: like placing VIP-s next to Podgorica fans is something you should never ever repeat. also you need to separate “barbars” from regular fans minimum by police and not just 4 security guards from the while pack of fans.

still hope Hungary wins organizational rights for next final four – and we can also sing our national anthem prior to the game — rather than the artificial EHF song.

Do the journalists know that this event wasn’t about them? It’s about handball, about the teams, players, coaches and also in huge part about the fans. Journalists stand a way back in the line…

    Seriously?

Securities had their hands full of all the Montenegro barbars, so non-Montenegro fans being there for the game, won’t get attacked, injured, insulted.

So I won’t feel sorry for media persons, who always too picky when there’s no red carpet and everything put under their butts.

Give them the Moracha for an F4, I’m sure they’ll receive warm and open hugs with cheerful Montenegro fans.

Well, well, and you were not allowed to smoke, weren’t you? Yeah, that was not the Moraca :)))

OMG, poor princess, you were to do your job, security was first. 10 min+ is what hurts you?
