Russia beat Norway to make Scandi golden era over!

Russia and France will fight for the gold at the Women’s Olympic tournament in Rio! The Norwegian left wing Camilla Herrem missed the last tricky shot only 10 seconds before the end of extra-time, to bring the happiness on the faces of Russian girls after 70 minutes of great battle – 38:37 (31:31 – 18:16).

The team led by Evgeny Trefilov since 1999 (with a small break in 2013) will have the second chance to win the Olympic tournament. They lost in first attempt in Beijing, where golden era of Norwegian girls began. This was a sweet revenge of the new Trefilov’s generation, who has everything to stay among the best in years to come.

Heidi Loke saved Norway from losing match in regular time, with equalizer four seconds before the final buzzer – 31:31, but Scandinavian girls led by Nora Mork (14 goals) simply weren’t good enough to beat the big rival last night.

Bobrobnikova netted eight goals for the winners, Dmitrieva scored one less.
