Russia are the first team at the quarter-final of the Women’s Olympic tournament in Rio! The Olympic finalists from 2008 celebrated third win in a row in Rio, this time against Sweden 34:32 (15:18), and that was enough to book the place among best eight teams.
The Swedish girls were in the match almost until the end. Bella Gulden and Co. led 31:30 only eight minute before the final whistle, but Russia made 4:0 series, which was decisive tonight.
Bobrovnikova and Dmitrieva netted six goals each in the winning squad, while Isabella Gullden was most efficient with 11 goals for the Scandinavian side.
