SC Magdeburg Hold Off Füchse in Title-Deciding Clash

The Bundesliga derby went to Magdeburg! The reigning EHF Champions League winners defeated Füchse Berlin 35:33 (15:15), all but sealing a new title in the strongest league in the world, given their seven-point lead over second-placed Flensburg.
A superb match was seen at the GETEC Arena. The first half was marked by Serbian international Dejan Milosavljev, who saved five penalties, but the closing stages belonged to Croatian international goalkeeper Matej Mandić (11 saves), who got his chance in place of the out-of-form Sergey Hernandez.
Magnus Saugstrup led the winners with nine goals, while the defeated side was paced by Mathias Gidsel with 11.
