Vardar Pro will try to defend last year’s title in the regional SEHA League after they’ve defeated Metalurg Skopje in the semifinal of the SEHA League. Vardar had the lead throughout most of the match, however HC Metalurg in the end managed to get a draw with one minute to go. Vardar score in their attack, while Vanco Dimovski fails in Metalurg’s final attack to receive the ball properly, and the final attack is lost, making Vardar the winner of the Macedonian semi-final.
In the first semifinal, RK Zagreb defeated Brest Meshkov despite trailing 17:14 at half time. With a nice run in the second, the Boris Dvorsek’ team in the end celebrated a 31:29 victory. This will give them the chance to win the SEHA league for the first time after losing in the semi-final in last years’ premiere edition.
