Serbia without Nenadic at EHF Euro 2022

The national team of Serbia will perform without their Superstar Petar Nenadic at EHF Euro 2022. Veszprem’s left-back/playmaker will not have time to recover from a hamstring injury suffered a month ago.

According to preliminary forecasts of doctors, the recovery should have taken about 6 weeks.

In addition to Nenadic, Nekse’s goalkeeper Mihailo Radovanovic, field players Danilo Radovic (Dinamo, Pancevo), and Davor Basaric won’t proceed with the preparations. Additionally, head coach Toni Gerona called right back Nemanja Zelenovic from Frisch Auf Göppingen.

In preparation for the top tournament, the Serbs will play two away friendly matches with the German national team on January 7 and 9. At EURO 2022 they will play in the same group with teams from France, Croatia and Ukraine.
