Russian national team showed strentgh at the start of the pre-qualifications for the Men’s IHF World Championship 2019 in Denmark and Croatia. Eduard Koksharov, famous left wing, had a perfect debut in official matches starting with two victories over Slovakia 32:22 and Finland 35:22 (16:10). This could be a sign that things in Russian handball going slightly better as Gorbok, Dibirov and other stars which status in handball is much bigger than level of national team results, were in the team.
The fourth team in the group is Luxembourg, who played 23:23 with Finland in the opening round.
Only the winner will progress to the WCh 2019 Play-Off scheduled for June 2018.
