A well known name in female handball has been named sports director at HC Vardar. Tanja Medved, who started her international career in Skopje, is back in Macedonia’s capital, this time to try to guide WHC Vardar to becoming Europe’s best.
“I’m happy to be back in Skopje, and big thanks to the club for the confidence they have in me, especially being with Indira (Kastratovic) and Gordana (Naceva) together  again is great. I’m sure WHC Vardar will be recognizable name in handball very soon. And just to underline that I feel no stranger here, because Macedonia loves handball, and I hope to be successful at this role as I was successful when I played handball” – said Medved at her promotion, together with HC Vardar’s owner, Samsonenko.
