The 8th Women’s Mediterranean Handball Championship (reserved to young Athletes Under17) is organized by the Mediterranean Handball Confederation, led by Francesco Purromuto, who is also the President of the Italian Handball Federation. The MHC, that includes 22 Handball Federations of the Mediterranean countries of the three continent , opened this competition on Monday, November 12th.
Sixth countries compete in this championship: the householder of Israel, Cyprus, Italy, Montenegro, the outgoing champions of Portugal, the team of Azerbaijan as invited country.
On the eve of the opening of the 8th Women’s Mediterranean Handball Championship, the MHC President, Francesco Purromuto, stressed the importance of this new appointment of the Mediterranean Handball.
– “I am very satisfied – stated President Purromuto – , also because we are managed to create the conditions to organize this event in Israel. I am sure that the Mediterranean Handball Family will realize a great Championship”.
