MKB-MVM Veszprém and HC Prvo plinarsko drustovo Zagreb met in the SEHA League in Veszprém Aréna. Both teams had to miss their leaders: László Nagy and Zlatko Horvat were absent because of injury like Stipe Mandalinic, Máté Lékai and the new Hungarian citizen, Iman Jamali too.
Although Mirko Alilovic saved a lot against his compatriots, Zagreb could keep up with the domestic team till the 15th minute (7-7). Then Veszprém drew away, but after Veselin Vujovic’s timeout, the Croatians closed up. At the end of the first half Luka Sebetic got a red card because of blowing Terzic’s brain. The halftime result was 14-13.
In the second half Veszprém had his way thanks to Alilovic’s and Andreas Nilsson’s brilliant performance. The Hungarians won 27-22. The best scorers were Nilsson (9) and Luka Rakovic (4).
MKB-MVM Veszprém is still leading the SEHA League with six victories, PPD Zagreb is the 5th.
