An “earthquake” was a match between Paris Saint Germain and Telekom Veszprem 33:28 in French capital. Both teams proved TOP class with the highest ambitions in VELUX EHF Champions League. Battle for the first place will be continued at Veszprem Arena on Saturday, 17.30 hrs.
– We know that we can play better. Paris played well in the last game and they deserved to win but now we want to take a step forward and win in front of our fans on Saturday. We have to be better in 60 minutes. We had a really bad 20 minutes in defense on Sunday. We have to be better at defense. Of course, at the end we have to score 1 goal more – said Veszprem’s coach Ljubomir Vranjes before the match.
Norwegian right back Kent Robin Tönnesen looking forward to another clash with French champions:
- It is going to be a tough game but also fun to play. I think we did not play that well last weekend, we will try to show our better side this Saturday, and we will get those 2 points for sure in front of our fans. We have to be at a better level in our defense because 33 conceded goals are too much. We have to get better at that and help our goalkeepers. If we do that, I think we will have a good chance.
