Romania celebrated surprising away win over Belarus at the start of the campaign for the Men’s EHF EURO 2018 in Croatia. The new head-coach, famous name from FC Barcelona Lassa, Xavi Pascual, had only two days for preparing the match, but in Minsk everything looked perfect:
- I am glad for final result and proud on my team. Guys played good in defense, although we had some problems with Belarussians back-line shooters. However, we achieved desired result and country can be proud on this team. We had only two days to practice, but we did it seven-eight hours per day. This work has yielded fruits – concluded Pascual after great start on Romanian bench.
Romania will play against Poland at Round 2 next weekend.
