Handball queen Bojana Popovic is back after four years, but it looks that she isn’t in the best ages for TOP handball. Spanish Guererras showed TOP class performance against Montenegro 25:19 (14:10) at the start of Olympic tournament in Rio. From the first till the last second, winners have been easy predictable.
Montenegrian back-line led by Bojana Popovic and Katarina Bulatovic netted only a goal for the first 17th minute, what was sign for Dragan Adzic to call time-out (4:9). Two younger backs, Raičević and Jaukovic gave more energy and less technical mistakes to the team, but it wasn’t enough for something bigger (10:14) until the half time break.
Match was practically over after few minutes of the second half. In 52nd minute, Spain was on 23:15 and it was over. Pinedo, Pena, Alberto and Cabral netted four goals each, while Katarina Bulatovic led Montenegro with five ahead of two superb right wings, Radicevic and Petrovic with four. Bojana Popovic ended her Olympic come back with NO goal!
Brazil beat Norway 31:28 in the first match of Group A.
