ZRK Buducnost and Bojana Popovic part ways – Zoran Abramovic is new coach
The Women’s Handball Club OTP Group Budućnost informs the public that Bojana Popović is no longer the coach of our club as of today. At the same time, the club is pleased to announce that experienced coach, Cetinje-born Zoran Abramović, has been appointed as the new head coach. He will make his debut on the bench already this Saturday, when OTP Group Budućnost hosts the European champion Győr in the 3rd round of the EHF Champions League.
After discussions held in recent days, the club and Popović reached an agreement on a mutual termination of cooperation. This marks the end of her tenure with the two-time European champion, which began in November 2020, when she was appointed head coach after previously serving as the first assistant to Dragan Adžić on the coaching staff.
In mutual talks, it was agreed that a consensual termination is the best solution at this moment, with the hope that OTP Group Budućnost will achieve the season’s goals set at the beginning of the campaign.
